Press-passing: The Little Black Book of Luxury

posted in: Graphic Design, Projects | 0

As part of the production of The Little Black Book of Luxury, it was my responsibility (and fun, frankly!) to press-pass the artwork with Pureprint.

This basically means being on site to see the first prints come off the press to review and approve them for quality, colour etc. At this point we always hope it’s merely a formality, having had all the kinks and errors with artwork worked out before hand! Checking and proofing, hugely important!

I love this part of the design process – it’s great to see a project coming together, a huge stack of lovely G.F.Smith paper, and if there’s any excuse to hang out in a print shop, I’ll take it!
